‘Mart' was a prosperous farmer in the St. Sebastian area about 9 miles west of Mt. Carmel, IL, in Wabash County. He married ‘Tillie' Berberich on May 14, 1910 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. They had 7 children; Frank, Cecilia, Oscar, Virgil, Alma, Agnes, & Rosemary and a total of 35 grandchildren (3 of whom died as infants).
