Neeses - Kay Gleaton Arant, 64, of 157 Stump Road, Neeses, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at Northside Baptist Church in Orangeburg with the Rev. Dr. Shane Stutzman, the Rev. Jim Parnell and the Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will be in Neeses Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ollin S. Gleaton III, Mark Williams, David Phillips, Brian Baltzegar, Al Fogle and Jeff Gleaton. Mrs. Arant was born in Columbia, a daughter of the Ollin S. and Lillie Mae Tyler Gleaton. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, and was formally employed by Life of Georgia Insurance Co. Survivors include her husband, James M. "Jim" Arant of the home; one daughter, Lynda S. Baltzegar and husband Wayne of Neeses; two stepdaughters, Cynthia A. (Powell) Wilson of Fairfax, Va., and Mary Beth A. (Frank) Myers of Orangeburg; grandchildren, Amy M. Williams of North and Zachary Baltzegar of Neeses; step-grandchildren, Meredith Wilson and Sterling Wilson of Fairfax, Va., Brian and Mandy Baltzegar and children of Orangeburg, Larry and Kendra Baltzegar and children of Manning, Grace Myers and David Myers of Orangeburg; great-grandchildren, Patrick Sturkie and Makaylyn Sturkie of North; a sister, Tillie G. (David) Phillips of Springfield; two brothers, Ollin S. (Anita) Gleaton Jr. and Henry A. (Jackie) Gleaton, all of Neeses; and special friend, Lib Fanning of Norway. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Tod Franklin Sturkie, and a brother, Roscoe "Ross" C. Gleaton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home, 157 Stump Road, Neeses. Memorial may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 1250 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115.
