Warner T. Elmore Called To Rest
Death again closed the life chapter of an old and respected resident of Remington when the passing of Warner T. Elmore took place at 6:45 Saturday morning.
Mr. Elmore had been in failing health for a long time, and recently passed through a severe sick spell, at which time it was not considered that he ever would be at all well again. He recovered sufficiently to be able to get up and be about a little, even down town a few times, but he was very feeble. His decline from that time has been gradual but sure. Saturday morning he expressed a desire to sit up, but was too weak to do wo. A few minutes later he passed on to that land from whence none have ever returned.
Born in Benton county, he lived on a farm in that county until 1896 when the family moved to Remington, where he has since continously resided. On October 1, 1874, he was united in marriage to Emma F. Bartlett, at Joliet, Ill., who with two sons, Charles A. of Findlay, Ohio and Blanchard of Lafayette, survive. The deceased lacked but a few weeks of being 86 years of age. He was of late years a member of the Pentecostal church.
The funeral was held from the residence Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., Vincent McGlynn of Hartford City being in charge of the service. Burial in Remington cemetery.
