October 27, 1955:
Funeral services were held this afternoon for Howard Adams of Hastings, who died there earlier this week. A former resident of Palmer, Mr. Adams was 83 years old.

November 3, 1955:
Howard Adams ws born May 18, 1872 at Princeton, Ill., the son of John and Mary Adams.

He was married May 16, 1903 to Bessie Rankin of Greeley, Col.

Surviving are his wife, Bessie; a daughter Dorothy Lawrence of Milwaukee, Wis; sons Donald and Robert of Hastings, Nebr., and Billy of Galesburg, Ill., and 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was one of eight brothers and sisters, four of whom are still living. They are Clarence of Cushing, Charles of Kimball, Fred of Litchfield and Florence of Omaha.

He spent the greater share of his life in the Palmer vicinity.
