Vincent Tracey Hopkins, 44, of Belle, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008, at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long battle with lung disease.
He was born January 5, 1964, in Charleston, and was the son of the late Frances Jane and Vincent Taylor Hopkins. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Drema Gardner.

Tracey was a 1982 graduate of DuPont High School and was an avid fisherman of Cranberry with the crew, Jeff Rinehart, Kent Sheets, Jimmy Mac, and Jimmy Tate.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Cheryl; daughter, Morgan, age 17; son, Tyler Hopkins, age 6; special parents-in-law, Judy and Henry Thomas; Mary and Ray Bays; nieces, Robin Rinehart and husband, Jeff, Belva Nomad and Debra Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Casto, Relena Bays, and Terri Painter; special best friends, who were always there, Ricky Cravens and Marty Good.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Witcher Baptist Church, Belle, with the Rev. Bernard Toppings officiating. Burial will follow the service in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

Family and friends will gather for visitation Thursday, November 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens and Grass Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Witcher Baptist Church, 2206 East Dupont Ave., Belle, WV 25015.
