Correct birth year is probably around 1861/1862 (her father died in the war). Her mother remarried (a Fowler) and her half-siblings had his name. Her older brother also seemed to have decided to use the Fowler name. On 1870 census she is 8. It was taken July 1870 and her birthday was November so that would probably have her born 1861. (At that age, less reason to round down years!)
Died in her early 50s from Graves' Disease (Exophthalmic Goiter) at Burroughs Hospital.
