Hattie was the daughter of William Washington Brandon (1844-1909) and Emma (Holcomb) Brandon.

Her mother Emma (Holcomb) Brandon parents were James M. Holcomb Sr. (1840-1931) and Winnifred Lucinda (Buchanan) Holcomb (1845-1933). Emma (Holcomb) Brandon was born Feb 1862 in Pontotoc County, MS and according to the Confederate Pension Records she passed away January 26, 1932 in Poinsett County, AR. Her burial has not be located.

Hattie married Albert Franklin (Holcomb) Holcome who was born to James M. Holcomb, Jr. (1867-????) and Margaret A. (Boyd) Holcomb (1874-????). He was the first cousin to Hattie's mother Emma (Holcomb) Brandon.

Hattie & Albert married in 1910 in Prentiss County, MS and had one child before they divorced on December 3, 1928 in Poinsett County, AR. They had a son named Marvin Franklin Holcome (1914-1987).

Albert Franklin (Holcomb) Holcome used different spellings and variations of his last name. On the 1940's census it shows that he married again to a woman name Lottie and has a son with her named Doyle (Holcomb) Holcome.

Albert Franklin (Holcomb) Holcome was born March 13, 1893 in Pontotoc County, MS and died April 15, 1969. His last know address was in Beedeville, Arkansas. His burial has not been located.

On November 16, 1959 Hattie married Francis Cullum Nix in Evening Shade, Arkansas.
