Mrs. Teresa M. Gruber, 79, of Canton, died at 10 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 29, 1981) in Blessing Hospital after a short illness. She was born July 10, 1902, in Lewis County, Mo., a daughter of Harry and Mary Yeager Cottrell. She married George Gruber in July of 1920. He preceded her in death in November of 1969. She served as a housemother at Culber-Stockton College and a board member of the County Welfare Commission for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church of Canton, the Unity Chapter No. 151 Order of the Eastern Star, the Rebecca Lodge, and a charter member of the Federated Women's Club. She is survied by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wells of Lewistown, Mo.; two brothers, John Cottrell of Denver, Colo., and Lloyd Cottrell of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kalman of Norman, Okla., and Mrs. Louise Turner of Scotsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Immanuel United Methodist Church of Canton, with the Rev. Robert Gail Woods and the Rev. Leland Beck conducting. Burial will be in the Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton. Davis Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
