His funeral service was on Friday at Edward Funeral Home Chapel.
His survivors include his wife, Mildred M. (Barnett) Deppe and two sons, Larry Eugene of Colchester, Illinois, and Jeral L. of Chester, Illinois. In addition he is survived by the following relatives: two sisters, Madge Shannon of Woodhull, Ill., and Gladys Chase of Keota, Iowa; three brothers, Clifford of Galesburg, Ill., Ernie of Oxford Junction, Iowa, and Leroy of Lynn Center, Ill.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
