Calvin John Rickman 78, of 123 Ladson Spring Trail, passed away Monday October 3, 2005 at the Universal Health Care Center following a long illness.
A Native of Buncombe County he had lived in Henderson County for over 20 years. He was a retired house painter and an avid fisherman. Mr Rickman formerly attended Candler House of Prayer and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII enlistment date Aug 17, 1945 discharge date Oct 5, 1946.
He was the son of the late M.R. Rickman and Alma Ballard Rickman
Surviving are his wife Madeline Luther Rickman whom he married October 12, 1982 and children John, Sharon Johnson and Linda Crawley and stepchildren Rose Ann Wright, Tony B. Jones, Bob C. Jones, Dan H. Jones, brothers Buz Rickmand and Dick Rickman and Half brothers Danny Barnes and Tommy Barnes, half sisters, Marie Corn, Addie Barnes, and Linda Barnes, Uncle James Ballard of Hendersonville 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Earwood officiating
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home
