Former Resident
Of Shawmut Dies

Mrs. Mattie Fant, 52, former resident of Shawmut, died at her home in Birmingham. Mrs. Fant had been making her home in Birmingham for the past 10 years.

She was a member of the Southside Baptist Churcch, Birmingham.

Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at Johns-Ridout Funeral Chapel in Birmingham. Graveside services will be held at Shamwut at 11 a.m. tomorrow, the Rev. Rufsl Morman, of LaGrange, officiating. Johnson and Blakely are in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Fant is survived by her husband, Lee J. Fant; a son, Lee J. Fant, Jr., Birmingham; two daughters, Miss Sarah Kathryn Fant, Birmingham, and Mrs. Henrietta Mims, Auburn; five sisters, Mrs. F. J. Fant, Montgomery, Mrs. Clarence Potts, Shawmut, Mrs. John Ragsdale, Auburn, Mrs. Curtis Harris, Electic and Mrs. Charlie Bailey, St. Petersburg, Fla., a brother, Robert White, Fairfax.
