McWilliams, Phila M., widow of John McWilliams and Donald O'Melveny, died at her home in San Marino on July 31, 1979.
She is survived by 4 children, Mrs. Edward Blacker, Henry O'Melveny, Stuart O'Melveny of Pasadena and Mrs. Thomas Roberts of Princeton, N.J.; 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Julia Child and Mrs. Ivan Cousins and 1 step-son, John McWilliams; 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her sister, Mrs. Cholmondeley Nelson.
Mrs. McWilliams was born in Port Huron, Mich. in 1896 and lived in Pasadena since 1897. She was one of the founder of the Pasadena Junior League and participated in other civic enterprises.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, friends contribute to the Church of Our Saviour, San Gabriel, the Huntington Memorial Hospital or a charity of their choice. Memorial service Friday, August 3, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Our Saviour.
