She was the daughter of Richard Haley and Mildred Hunt Haley of Virginia and said to be a descendant of Humphrey Haley who married Miss Wyatt, a descendant of Col. Governor Wyatt. Richard and Mildred Haley are buried in the William J. Bingham Cemetery in Williamson County according to information in the Elizabeth Pigott Bible
