Date: Monday, March 19,1990

LANTETT --Mrs. Carrie G. Bishop, 83, of Lanett, died Sunday mornng at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev Jerome King and the Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Shawmut Cemetery.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Merrill B. Baker of Opelika; a son, Mr. Ronnie B. Bishop of Valley; two sisters,Mrs. Emma Yarbrough and Mrs. Cythina Koon both of Shawmut; three grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A native of Clanton, Mrs. Bishop was a retired employee from Fairfax Mill with many years of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Chattahoochee Hospiice in Mrs. Bishop's memory. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
