Alexander was born Sept. 5, 1918, in the Mountain Springs community and had resided there all of his life. His wife is the former Miss Lucille Scoggins.
Survivors are his wife; three sons, Kenneth Alexander of Rte. 3, city; Harold and Danny Alexander of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Calvin Evans of Muenster and Miss Gayla Alexander of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Alexander, Rte. 1, Pilot Point; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Hite and Mrs. Don Holly, both of Pilot Point, Mrs. C. B. [sic] Smith of Dos Palos, Calif., and Mrs. Jimmie Popejoy of Gainesville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Beck Chapel, Pilot Point, with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Rev. Marion J. Fonville, pastor of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, will officiate.
Bearers will be Dewell Sanders, John Cox, Ralph Cox, Wiley McCollum, Earl Sitzes and Curtis Wilkerson.
