Funeral services for Absolem Goins of West Linn will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holman, Hankins, Bowker and Waud Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum. Mr. Goins, who was 77, died Thursday at a local hospital. He was a native of Ontario and had lived in the West Linn area since 1941. He married his wife, Nadine, on April 28, 1934 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a retired millwright for Crown Zellerbach. Mr. Goins was a member of Oregon City Elks Lodge No. 1189. He is survived by his wife, Nadine; his sons, David Allen Goins of West Linn and Charles Edward Goins of Arlington; half brother, John Goins of Bakersfield, California; half sister, Ella Frost of Missouri; four granchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
