FRED BREED DIES NEAR CLINTONVILLE
Illness of One Week Is Fatal to Pioneer Resident of Community
Clintonville – Ill about one week, Fred S. Breed, 79, a pioneer resident of this community, died at his farm home near here last night. A director of the Embarrass State bank, he also was prominent in town and school affairs, having held a number of offices.
Born Oct. 21, 1852, in Jefferson-co, N. Y., he came to Embarrass as a boy with his parents Dr. and Mrs. John Breed. He was married 44 years ago to Miss Fredericka Eberlein of Shawano, and the couple moved to a farm near Embarrass.
He is survived by four sons, Dwight of Clintonville, Arthur of Milwaukee, Edward of Embarrass and Fred of Embarrass; five daughters, Mrs. Arthur Shardt of Antigo, Mrs. Allen Breed of Iron Mountain, Mich., Mrs. Elmer Lempke of Clintonville, Mrs. Irving LaBeau of Appleton, and Miss Adelaide Breed of Embarrass; and one brother, Arthur Breed of Washington.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home. Burial will be in Embarrass Riverside Cemetery.
