Dorothy P. Kulp

Dorothy P. Maust Kulp, 82, of Goshen, died Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare where she had been since June 1 after falling and breaking her leg.

She was born in Marshall County on June 30, 1928 to the late Samuel R. and Mary E. (Sarber) Drake. She married Edward Maust in Goshen on August 12, 1947. He died March 22, 2003. She then married Isaac Kulp on June 30, 2003. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dee L. (Brad) Strycker of Goshen, and D. Lynn (Richard) Roderick of Madison, Maine; two sons, Dale Lee (Sue) Maust of Wakarusa and Dean LeRoy (Linda) Maust of Ocilla, Georgia; step-daughter, Patricia A. Byler of Goshen; step-son, Stephen A. (Pauline) Kulp of El Mirage, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steve Strycker in 1997; a brother, Paul R. Drake; and step-father, Amos F. Hoover.

A 1946 graduate of New Paris High School and a member of Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren and its Ladies' Aid, Mrs. Kulp volunteered with BVS at Camp Ithiel from 1994 to 1995. She graduated from South Florida Community College in 1979 and retired as an LPN from Carriage Manor in 1995.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 23 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m., service on Tuesday, at the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren, Goshen. Pastor Mark Bendes of Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren and Pastor John McFarland of Little Pine Church of the Brethren will officiate.

Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery, Bremen.
