Mr. and Mrs. Bert Adams have received-a letter from Lt. Col. John Williamson of the 18th Inf. telling them how their son, Paul, met his death in Germany in April.

The letter says:

"Dear Mrs. Adams:

"To supplement the report which you have already received from the war department, it is with my sincerest sympathy that I am sending you some additional information regarding the death of, your courageous son, Private First Class Paul E. Adams,- Co. L, 18th Infantry. Paul was killed in action April 14, 1945 in the vicinity of Riefensbeck, Germany. He was

For Paul Adams

From Community Bible Church;

Died In Holland In 1945

The body of Paul E. Adams, who was killed in Holland In 1945, will arrive in Osceola Wednesday, December 1. Services will be held from the Community Bible church in Osceola Friday, December 3 at 2:30 p. m. with the American Legion officiating.

Paul was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. (Bert) Adams. He received his education in the Osceola schools and entered the army on August 28, 1942. For the next two and a half years he was in the medical corps and then transferred to the infantry. He left for overseas in March 1945 and arrived in Paris on April 6. Rushed into action he was killed on April 14 and burled in Holland.

He leaves his parents and two brothers, Dwight and Olin.

The body will be taken to the Miller Funeral Home until time of the services which will be conducted by Rev. R. Underwood, of New Sharon, Iowa, assisted by Rev. David Mathews of the Community Bible church. Burial will be in the Legion plot at Maple Hill cemetery.

All former service men are requested to attend the services.
