Mrs. Mary Lavina Luke, wife of George A. Luke, died at their home #604 Lincoln Ave., early Thursday morning, after a protracted period of failing health. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2:00 Saturday afternoon. Rev. E. R. Romig officiating. Interment will be made in Maple Grove. Mary Lavina Hunt was born in Brooklyn, NY, Jul 9, 1852, and was married to George A. Luke at Vineland, NJ in 1870. The couple came to Ohio soon afterward and became residents of Ravenna about twenty years ago. Four children were born to them, of whom a daughter, Mrs. Charles Cope, died eleven years ago in Ravenna. The living children are Charles A. Luke of Ravenna, Mrs. Joseph Kirk of Ravenna and Alba A. Luke of Cleveland. She is also survived by her husband, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and by two sisters in New Jersey. She was a member of the Ravenna Methodist Espicopal Church and of the local W. R. C. to both of which she gave loyal service. None have left fonder memories than this good wife, mother and friend
