He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pirtle Adcock; parents, John and Dona Slatten Adcock; seven brothers, Anthony Adcock, Eurbie Adcock, Henry Adcock, Richard Adcock, Willie Adcock, Jimmy Adcock and John Adcock; and two sisters, Brina Rigsby and Roberta Martin.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Jan. 27, 2002, at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home in Smithville with burial in Indian Mound Cemetery. Bro. Eddie Cantrell officiated.
