ii. James RATLIFF was born 19 Jan 1798 in Barren Co. KY, and died 16 Apr 1860 in Macon Co. MO. He married Martha "Patsy" HIND 18 Mar 1817 in Barren County KY, daughter of Samuel HIND and Margaret "Peggy" Willis Arnold. She was born 29 Jun 1799 in Near Horse Cave KY, and died 5 Jun 1880 in New Boston MO.
iii. Mary RATLIFF was born 26 Dec 1800 in Barren Co. KY, and died 23 Feb 1864 in Randolph Co. MO. She married Richard BRADLEY 25 Feb 1818 in Barren Co. KY. He was born 27 Dec 1795 in Barren Co. KY, and died 25 Jul 1865 in Randolph Co. MO.
iv. William RATLIFF was born in Barren Co. KY, and died 1860 . He married Mary "Polly" PHILPOT 27 Nov 1826 in Barren Co. Kentucky.
v. Jonathan RATLIFF was born in BARREN CO. KY, and died 13 Nov 1881 in BENTON CO. ARK. He married Dulaney Crawford ROWLAND 15 Dec 1829 in Randolph Co. MO. She was born 16 Dec 1807 in TN, and died 5 Jul 1899 in Garfield, AR.
vi. *Jordan RATLIFF was born in Barren Co. Kentucky, and died 1840 in Randolph County Missouri. He married Lavinia ROWLAND 20 Sep 1831 in Randolph County MO. She was born 1815 in TN, and died in Macon Co. MO.
vii. Alexander RATLIFF was born in Barren Co. KY, and died ABT 1879 in Atkinson County Missouri.He married ? Rachel Atwell. He married second to Leanna Bunch Jun 1864 in Burlington Kansas. She was born 31 Dec 1830 in Tennessee, and died 19 Aug 1906 in Atchinson County Missouri.

WILLIAM RATLIFF was one of the early preachers in Green River Association. He was ordained to the ministry at Blue Spring church, in Barren county, in 1806. He was immediately called to the pastoral care of this church, and served it some ten or a dozen years, when he was called to his reward. He had the reputation of being a good, faithful man. It is regretted that so little is now know of him. Some of his posterity still live around old Blue Spring Church.

6 Feb 1828 in Barren Co. Kentucky. Right about 1830, they moved to Menard/Mason Illinois.
She wished to be relieved of the responsibility of infants[infants: age 0-14] William, Jonathan, Jordon, and Alexander in a deed dated February 1828 (book L Page 226). This was an agreement between her and her oldest son, Stephen, and it states that she is the widow of William Ratliff deceased .
