Frank Baller was born September 25, 1858 in Germany and died July 9, 1937 at his home in Exeter, NE at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 14 days.
He and his wife, Bertha Laper, his parents and sister, Amelia, came to this country in 1877. They settled at Audubon, IA. In 1893 they moved to York County, Nebraska where they resided until 1908 when they moved to Exeter. To this union were born 10 children. His wife Bertha died March 11, 1904. He was united in marriage to Marie Heinaman in 1907. He was united with the Lutheran church at the age of about fourteen years and remained a faithful member.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Marie, and eight children, Mrs. Hannah Miller of Exeter, Herman E. of Ansley, Frank A. of Callaway, Mrs. Minnie Karre of Ord, William J. of Merna, Mrs. Ida Walbrecht of Lushton, Mrs. Bertha Ogden of Fairmont and Albert L. of York; his sister, Mrs. Amelia Smith of McCool; two nieces, twenty four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 9 o'clock Sunday morning at the home by Rev. Samuel Beechner. Burial was in the Pleasant Vale cemetery northwest of Exeter.
