Her family has been in California since long before the Donner Party. She spent 46 years working the night shift as a waitress, sometimes clearing over $300.00 a night in tips (before tips had to be declared as taxable). In her life she had served and/or thrown out such notables as Steve McQueen, Alice Cooper, Bruce Babbitt, Eddie Money, several Hell's Angels, cops, sailors, and cowboys, mariachis, holy rollers, and souls from all walks of life. She often slipped free coffee and a doughnut to the homeless. She has been described as "an angel in an apron".

Her family thanks the boys from Gold Star Cab Co. for offering to drive her to the hospital when she had her first stroke, the one that would crumble her health until the morning her golden heart stopped beating.

We miss you, Mom. Dad's going nuts without you.
