Atchison, Kan — Lois Yocum, 86, Atchison, died Friday, Dec. 13, 1996, at an Atchison health-care center.
She was born Aug. 16, 1910 in Atchison County, Kan., and attended St. Patrick's Elementary school, The Mount St. Scholastica Academy and the Atchison Business School, all of Atchison.
Mrs. Yocum was employed by the Fred Stein Laboratories, Atchison and later worked as a nurse's aide, then a private duty nurse, at the Atchison Hospital.
Mrs. Yocum was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, south of Atchison. She was later a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Happy Hour Pinochle Club, Atchison.
She married Harold Keenan: he died in 1953.
In 1955 she married Harley Yocum. He died in 1967,
Also preceding Mrs. Yocum in death were her parents, Joseph and Anna B. Deviney, and a sister.
Surviving: a stepdaughter, Barbara Nottingham, Effingham, Kan.; and two stepsons, John Yocum, Higginsville, Mo., and Donald Yocum, Grain Valley, Mo.
