Vogdes, U.S.V./commanding U.S. Forces in Florida in compliance with the terms of a Military Convention made on 26 April 1865 at Bennett's House, near Durham, N.C. between Gen. J. E. Johnston of the Confederate Forces and Major General W. T. Sherman, U.S.A. and approved by Gen. Grant, U.S.A.
