James "Jimmie" Baker Sr. was born January 6, 1918 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Mr. Arthur Baker and Mrs. Leanna Baker. Jimmie had three brothers, Clarence and Otis Baker who preceded him in death. Joseph Baker of Compton, Ca. and one sister Mary Lee Foul of Louisiana.
