Marilyn J. Haynam, age 70, of Minerva, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010.

She was born July 23, 1939, in Greensburg, Ind., to Frank and Opal (Clary) Cook. She was a 1957 graduate of Minerva High School and retired from Metaldyne (Formerly Masco Corp.) in Minerva after 28 years of service as a purchasing agent. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minerva, having served on the Finance Committee and as chairman of the Memorial Committee.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue (Bush) Apple, and husband Randy of Delphos, Ohio; grandson, Travis Ray Apple, and wife Marlo of Pittsburgh, Pa.; granddaughter, Brooke Diane Apple of Delphos, Ohio; sister, Sharlene (Gary) Bell of Minerva; brother, Gary (Caroline) Cook of Medina; sister-in-law, Esther (Stuart) Johnston of Alliance; many loving nieces and nephews; cousin, Jayne (Steve) Higgins of Martinsville, Ind.; and many friends who were very special to her and helped face the challenges of the last several years.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Bush, who died in 1962; second husband, Elvie Haynam, who died in 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Walt Jordan officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund at St. Paul's Lutheran Church or your local area Relay For Life event. (4-30-10)
