Robert was born to Betty Otting Maddox and the late Elbert Otting. He is survived by three children: Sandra, Karen, and James (Jimmy) of Augusta, Georgia.Twelve grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Linda Coppett of Dallas,Georgia. Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ann Petty in 2007.
Robert enjoyed fishing and traveling. He worked for years as a truck driver. Robert loved country music.
Robert was cremated,and his ashes were buried at the foot of his father's grave at Eastview Cemetery in Rome, Georgia. Robert will be greatly missed.
