Mr. Edward Daniel Baisden, 63, died Wednesday (August 11, 2010) at his residence following an extended illness.
He was a native of Nicholls and had lived most of his life in Coffee and Ware County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearlie Baisden and Wilma Carver Baisden; and a sister, Shirley Mae Meeks.

He retired from CSX Railroad after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Okefenokee Country Club, the Men's Golf Association and attended New Life Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Stanfield Baisden of Blackshear; a daughter, Jennifer Baisden of Indian Shores, FL; two sons, Jerome Baisden of Atlanta, Jaurez Baisden of Nicholls; a stepdaughter, Teresa Tuten (husband Ray) of Hawkinsville; two stepsons, Tony Bryson (wife Gina) of Waycross, T.W. Lott of Waresboro; three step grandsons; one step great grandson; three sisters, Edna Kilgore of Lyons, Donna Ann Gill and Evelyn Taylor both of Nicholls; two brothers, P.L. Baisden of Crestview, FL, T.J. Baisden ofWaresboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday (August 14, 2010) at New Life Assembly of God. Burial will be in Meeks Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Friday night from 6 until 8.

The transportation department of CSX Railroad is requested to meet at the church Saturday at 10.40 a.m. to serve as honorary pallbearers. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.musicfuneralhome.com
