Isaac Henry "Ike" was the son of Gamewell Gantt and Artomince A. Short. He married Chacy Carolyn Hawkins Gantt about 1907 and they had 10 children, but one died in infancy. They moved from North Carolina to Georgia and eventually settled in Macon. Isaac Henry Gantt lived to be 70 years old.
