Paul R. Alleman Jr., 22, of Metuchen died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville
Born in Edison, he moved to Metuchen in 1999. He is survived by his beloved parents, Paul Alleman Sr. and Patty Alleman Benson; his stepmother, Tanya Alleman and stepfather, James Benson; and his loving sisters, Lauren and Cassie Alleman. In addition, he is survived by his devoted grandmother, Evelyn Alleman; seven aunts and uncles and 16 cousins; stepsister, Amy Benson and stepbrothers, Karl Benson and Anton Matveev.
Paul attended Metuchen High School. He was an avid baseball fan and loved the New York Yankees. He played baseball with North Edison Little League, the Metuchen High School baseball team, and the Edison Blue Ducks.
Paul was a talented musician and played drums in the rock band Loss of Breath.
Visitation hours are 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today (Wednesday), May 14, at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 27), Metuchen (www.costello-runyon.com). A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 15 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carrier Clinic, 252 County Route 601, Belle Mead, NJ 08502 (www.carrier.org).
