MRS. CARL BLAALID LAID TO FINAL REST

Last Wednesday afternoon, the mortal remains of Mrs. Car Blaalid, Severance township, were laid to their final earthly resting place in the Clear Lake Sw. Baptist church cemetery, services beginning at two o'clock with pastor K. Wm. Hagstrom officiating.

The deceased, 49 years of age, passed away the previous Saturday evening at 8:30 o'clock, after a long period of illness. A brief obituary was published in our last week's edition.

The obsequies were largely attended, attesting in this mute way, the high regard in which she was held by her many acquaintances and the floral tributes also gave additional testimony in this respect.

During the services Mrs. Don Clover sang "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus," and Mrs. Walter Carlson, of Minneapolis, sang "God Understands."

Among those from a distance that attended the funeral of Mrs. Carl Blaalid, of Clear Lake, were: Editor and Mrs. R. Peterson, of Westbrook; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Youngren and son, Kermit, of St. Paul; Justus Blaalid, of Brookings, S. Dak.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Isenberg, of Kensington; Mrs. Walter Larson and daughter, Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ostrom, Ms. Theodore Ostrom, Mrs. Ralph Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Isenberg, of Minneapolis; Mr. Oscar Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Berlin, of Cosmos, and August Malm and daughter, Mrs. Arvid Carlson and Don Peterson, of Winthrop and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Johnson and Mrs. Nordskog, of Hector.
