was killed in line of duty aboard USS Belleau Wood on oct 30th, 1944 (Glen was "Killed In Action" when the Belleau Wood was hit by a Japanese kamikaze plane off Leyete which fell on her flight deck aft, causing fires which set off ammunition during the war. 92 men had either died or gone missing in this attack. The Belleau Wood survived the attack and the war.
