EDDINGTON - Evangeline Ackley, 79, went to be with her daughter, Gail, in the early morning of July 11, 2001. She passed away at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. Evangeline was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Portland, the daughter of Frank Leonard Morgan and Glena Fay Phebe Smith.
She attended Baxter State School for the Deaf in Portland. She married Clayton Roy Ackley on May 21, 1943, and was married for 58 love filled years. She was retired from Viner Shoe Factory in Bangor.
