Bessie E. Cooper, 83 Last Rites Held in Washington

Funeral services for Mrs. John P. [elsor] (Bessie E.) [Wagoner Giles] Cooper, 83, of Seattle, Wash., were held February 25 at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home in Seattle. Mrs. Cooper died February 21 at the convalescent center there. She had entered Doctors Hospital at Seattle November 24, 1973 following a stroke at her daughter's home. Interment was at Washington Memorial Park, Seattle.

Bessie E. Cooper was born February 13, 1891 at Gravity, Iowa the daughter of Samuel and Cora [Ella Cusick] Wagoner.

Mr. and Mrs. Cooper lived on a farm near New Market. They later moved to town in 1943. Mr. Cooper died January 29, 1964. Mrs. Cooper remained in the home until 1968, with failing health she sold her home and moved to Seattle to be with her children.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Women's Missionary Society, and a member of the W.C.T.U.

She is survived by two sons, Rex Cooper of Englewood, Colo., Jack Cooper of Kirkland, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Myers of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Bonnie Eichelberger of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Lorene Poley of Kirkland, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie Taylor of Fort Collins, Colo; a brother, Roy Wagoner, of Loveland, Colo.; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren.

She will be missed by many friends who knew her.

She will best be remembered for her gardening and beautiful flowers, and was always willing to give a helping hand to people in need.
