Will and his sister Elsie were sent to Canada in 1903 as British Home Children. They had a younger brother George. In Canada, Will and Elsie were separated and Will was sent to live in Brussels, Ontario.


He enlisted in Brussels on Nov 19, 1915.


He died in a hospital in France due to shrapnel wounds received at Passchendaele.
