Katie A Anderson was my sister. She was born at home in San Diego On July 15 1944. She attended Elementary School in El Cajon California at Cuyamaca Elementary,Cajon Valley Jr High and graduated from Grossmont High School in June of 1962. She then worked and attended Cuyamaca College. She worked at different secretarial jobs and got a degree in Social Welfare from San Diego State in 1975. Most of her life long jobs were of a secretarial nature, and some were in Civil Service with the Federal Cvil Service (Navy)and the Border Patrol.She was also a day manager at the Mens' Health Club at Norh Island Naval Air Station for seven years.
She was active in the Armed Forces YMCA Girls Service Organization for over seven years. She was in the Girl of The Year Court many Times She was named "Girl of The Year. It was here that she met many of her life long friends.
She was also active in The Vasa Swedish Lodge which meets in La Mesa Calif .She was an officer in that group . She was also active in Animal Rescue with the San Diego Humane Society and found homes for Fox Terriers.
Katie is buried in the Mausoleum (Bible Building) Proverbs Fourth Floor at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego. She was and is much loved by her her significant other of 13 years, and the love of her life David,her best friends Frances, and Patty (Bill). Beloved Friends Jan ,Jimmy(Savanah) Oula and Pip,Red,(John)and Sandy . Her Niece Vikki and her sister Rose love her, miss her and think of her everyday.
Her beloved friends Bill, and Lee have now joined Katie in Heaven in the last few years. I like to think she was waiting for them at the Gate . Our dear Ruth Parrish joined her in 02 and is buried downstairs from her along with our beloved Ann Smith . She is with Mom and Dad, cousin George and beloved "Uncle" and dear friend Gene Grainger.
