Norman John Draper, of Burke Va. formerly of Wilmington, De. died in Inova Fairfax Hospital of pulmonary complications six months after Heart Surgery. Mr Draper was the son of Lloyd Vernon Draper and Catherine Schoy Draper. He graduated from Wilmington , De. in 1939. He worked for the Dupont Co. and the Delaware Administration for Reginal Transit. During World War 11 he served as a Petty Officer on the USS Lamberton and was stationed in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Draper was a member of the Lafayette Lodge #14 A.F.A.M. in Wilmington. He resided with his wife in Virginia for the past five years.
Survivors include his wife Alva Spevak Draper, a son Norman John Draper Jr. and wife Marcia Draper of Fairfax Station Va.; a daughter Sharon Jean Turner and husband Patrick Turner, of Fair Lakes, Va,; 8 grandchildren; Catherine Draper, Lloyd Draper, Samuel Draper, Debra Draper, Marcia Draper , Emily Lloyd, Elizabeth Lloyd, David LLoyd and two grandchildren.
Services were officiated by the Reverend karen Onesti, niece of Mr. Draper, at the McCrery Memorial Chapel and interment was in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, Delaware.
