Funeral of John L. Sullivan This A.M.

The body of John L. Sullivan, 15 year-old son of Mark and Gertrude Sullivan, was brought to Casper last evening from Helena, Mont., where the popular youth died last Friday after but a brief illness. This young man, who was the nephew of Mesdames Patrick Burke, Alex McPherson, and Michael Burke, was attending the St. Charles Academy at Helena when stricken ill. He was at once removed to St. John's hospital, but physicians' skill proved of no avail and the Casper boy answered the final summons.

Mrs. Sullivan, who was advised of her son's illness, left here last Thursday and arrived at the boy's bedside before death claimed its victim, but the father, who was in Parkerton, was unable to reach Helena until Saturday and after the young man had passed away.

Services were held in Helena and the body lay in state at the St. Charles Academy from 11 a.m. until the afternoon hour of train departure.

Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, who brought the body home for burial, were met at Billings by Mrs. Margaret Laughlin, cousin, and Louis McCanner, brother of Mrs. Sullivan, who with the parents accompanied the remains of the boy to Casper. Rev. Father O'Neill, vice president of the academy, also accompanied the body to this city.

Father O'Neill will assist in the funeral services which will be held at 9:30 o'clock this morning when high mass will be said at St. Anthony's church.

The Casper Boy Scouts, Troop No. 4, of which John L. Sullivan was a member, will attend the funeral in a body. Mrs. Sullivan, mother of the dead boy, is a member of the Altar and Rosary, which organization will also attend the services in a body.
