Shirley A. Stufflebean, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri, died Wednesday, February 20, 2002, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mrs. Stufflebean retired from Mead Products, where she worked as a machine operator for over twenty years.
Born November 27, 1930, in St. Joseph, Missouri, she spent most of her life there. She was graduated from Central High School.
On June 17, 1952, she married Clifton G. Stufflebean in Hiawatha, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1982.
She also was preceded by her parents, Lester and Lula (Gregory) Kerns; her brother, Artie; and two sisters, Rita Davis and Veda Todd.
Survivors: two sons, Steve Stufflebean and David Stufflebean, and his wife, Rhonda, all of St. Joseph; stepson, Clifton Grant, and his wife, Katherine, Savannah, Missouri; three sisters, Lois Honeycutt and Georgia Russell, both of St. Joseph, and Hazel Buie, Gower, Missouri; brother, Jessie Kerns, Kansas City; one grandson, David Stufflebean Jr.; two stepgrandchildren, Jeff and Mike Stufflebean; and several nieces and nephews.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home, where friends may call after 8 a.m. today.
