Dennis Sherrill Gillmore, age 60, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Cardwell, Missouri, died Thursday, January 19, 2006 at the Memorial Hermann-Memorial City Hospital in Houston, Texas. Born at Cardwell he was the son of the late W. C. and Nina Gillmore. He was a 1964 graduate of Cardwell High School and received a B.S. degree in accounting from Arkansas State University in 1969. He was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity and the Reserve Officer Training Corp. He served 3 years in the U. S. Army including service at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and achieved the rank of Captain. Mr. Gillmore had a distinguished career as an oil and gas consultant and was employed by the Kroger Company at the time of his death. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Lola Miller.

Survivors include 2 sons Travis William Gillmore and Scott Austin Gillmore, both of Texas.

Graveside Funeral Services will be 2pm Wednesday at the Cardwell Cemetery with Dwight Harrison officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service.
