Anne Blecharz Rusiewicz, 93, formerly of Lower Burrell, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, in Pleasanton, Calif. She was born Jan. 6, 1917, in New Kensington, to the late John and Caroline Piekos Blecharz, and had moved to California 10 years ago. She was a secretary for the Burrell School District, a position she held for 15 years prior to her retirement. Anne was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, and the Christian Mothers of the Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling and time with her family. She is survives by a daughter, Treva A. (Rudy Potenzone) Rusiewicz, of Redmond, Wash.; a son, Jan K. (Walsa ) Rusiewicz, of Indiana, Pa.; and grandchildren, Evan, Chad (Ann) and Kara Potenzone, Jaison, Whitney and Adam Rusiewicz. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Rusiewicz; and three brothers, Walter, Joseph and Stanley Blecharz. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the RUSIEWICZ OF ARNOLD FUNERAL HOME, 1400 Fifth Ave., Arnold, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9 a.m. Monday followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church.
