P.P. Howard, 72, Forsan died at 5 a.m. today in a local hospital.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the First Assembly of God , with pastor Re. Homer Rich, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park, under the direction of the River-Welch Funeral Home.

He was born in Overton County,Tennessee, June 23 1893. He married Eunice Admire Dec. 24, 1913 in Bonita,Texas. The family moved from Jones County to Howard County in 1925 and had made their home in Forsan since that time.

Mr. Howard had worked for several oil companies in Forsan, and for 10 years until he retirement in 1963, he worked for the Forsan school system. He attended the First Assembly of God Church.

A daughter, Mary Ruth (Howard) Merchant preceded him in death 4 Aug 1964.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Eunice Howard, Forsan; two sons J R Howard, Big Spring and C R Howard, Big Lake, one daughter , Mrs. George Abee, Andrews; one brother, G.G. Howard, Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Miller, Verden,OK., and Mrs. Ivan Harris, Seattle, Washington; also eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
