Earl Russell Schrecengost, 49, of Ford City RD2 died Sunday, June 28, 1992 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Gaston to Russell S. and Helen (Thomas) Schrecengost. Employed by Peoples Natural Gas for 31 years, Mr. Schrecengost was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kittanning, where he served as deacon and former trustee, and the Masonic Lodge 805 of Kittanning. Survivors include his wife, Linda (Skinner) Schrecengost, whom he married in 1965; his parents, Russell and Helen Schrecengost of Shelocta RD1; a son Pyce, at home; a daughter, Jasa, at home; a brother, Jeff Schrecengost of Rural Valley; and a sister, Mrs. Lewis (Betty) Artman of Worthington. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Wendell. SCHRECENGOST - Friends of Earl Russell Schrecengost, 49, of Ford City RD2, who died Sunday, June 28, 1992, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, where a Masonic service will be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Kittanning, with the Rev. Frederick W. Young and the Rev. David Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Elderton Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the memorial fund of the First Baptist Church of Kittanning. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
