MADISON - Velma M. Strait, age
97, died on Saturday, December 12,
1998 in a Madison Hospital. The
former Velma M. LaBounty was
born on November 21, 1901 at
Spring Green, the daughter of William
and Mary (Paull) LaBounty.
She is survived by a daughter, Delia
(Merlin) Denzer of Madison; three
grandchildren, Sharlene (Ira)
Palmer, Fay (Vicky) Denzer, and
Carol Sutton; seven great grandchildren;
and eleven great great
grandchildren; a sister in law,
Frieda Schroeder; and nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Virgil Strait;
and a son, Fay Strait. Funeral services
will be held at 1:30 p.m. on
Thursday, December 17, 1998 in
the SCHROEDER CRESS FUNERAL
HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave.
Burial will follow in Roselawn
Memorial Park. Friends may call
one hour prior to the service on
