Jennie did not marry. She moved to New Castle from Newport about 1910 and stayed with her sister and brother in law, Hattie and Clyde Ailey. Then Jennie worked at an overall factory and bought a house at 407 South Ray Street in New Castle, where she lived for the rest of her life. She died at Providence Hospital in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, after a lingering illness. Her funeral service was held at her sister's, Mrs. William McKim, in Beaver Falls.
