Mary L. Fornango "Mickey" (nee Pearce) passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, she was 95 years old.

Mickey was born in Joliet on March 25, 1915 and graduated from St. Francis Academy in 1932. She married her husband Vincent and joined with him in his dental practice from 1937 until retirement in 1990.

She was a member of the Church of St. Anthony since 1941. She volunteered at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center for over 35 years with 6,210 hours of service and was also involved with the J.T.H.S. and Joliet Grade School Band Parents Association.

Mickey was active with American Field Service Exchange Student Program for over 40 years and was the Will County Coordinator. She still continued to keep in touch with the exchange students involved with AFS.

Mickey was the last member of the Burr Oakers Social Club which was established in 1927 and second to last member of a social-service club established at St. Francis Academy in 1932.

Mary is survived by three sons James (Jean) Fornango of St. Louis, Missouri, Douglas Vincent Fornango of Chicago and Mark Fornango of San Diego, California. Also surviving are three grandchildren James W. (Donna), Robert J. and Elizabeth L. Fornango; a great-grandson Matthew R. Fornango; her brother-in-law Bernard (Bette) Fornango of Joliet.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Vincent N. Fornango (2008), her parents C. Louis Pearce and Lydia (nee Lasker) Pearce Feeley, her sister Dorothy Lois Calosio.

Funeral services be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, August 5, at 10:00 A.M. to the Church of St. Anthony at 10:30 A.M. for a mass of Christian burial. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
