Eddie's Obituary-
Edwin L. Heaney, of Court Street, Newtown Village, died last Friday at his home, after a short illness, in the fourteenth year of his age. The sincere sympathy of the community goes out to his doubly bereaved mother, who not quite three weeks ago buried her husband, and is now obliged to mourn the loss of one of her sons. The funeral was held last Sunday afternoon and was very largely attended, for Edwin was beloved by all his young companions as well as by many older friends. The interment was made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Edwin was buried on March 5, 1893.
Eddie died of meningitis at the age of 14, just 20 days after his father, Nathaniel..
