She was born August 9, 1909, in Seymour, Texas, to W. C. and Fleedia Harrison. She married Curtis D. Owen on July 25, 1935, in Odessa, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1976. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Beverly Owen, Round Rock, TX; grandsons, David Curtis Owen and wife, Allison, Cedar Park, TX, and Phillip Dawson Owen, Austin, TX; great granddaughters, Brittney and Catie Owen, Cedar Park, TX; sister, Joyce Vaught, Bryan, TX; sister-in-law, Ann Harrison, Fort Worth, TX; and five nephews and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Harrison, Jr., and a sister, Louise Helm.
